This unfinished painting shows several Orange County hounds resting in the grass while waiting for the hound trailer after a long day’s hunting. At the time I took these photos, I didn’t realize the hound resting his head on the flank of the other one was Kermit, who just happened to be Orange County’s champion hound at both the Virginia and Bryn Mawr Hound shows. I just thought it was very sweet the way he snuggled up with the other hounds.
